Color. Culture. Casual.

Meet Lynn Gant

I’m Lynn Gant — a proud Kansas City native, retired I.T. supervisor, Marine Corps veteran, and lifelong creative. After nearly three decades of public service with the City of Kansas City and earning my B.A. in Studio Art from UMKC, I returned to my passion: painting.

I create art that reflects my journey — rooted in community, heritage, and bold color. My style blends abstract expressionism with figurative storytelling. I call myself a “casual artist,” because there is no urgency in my approach to painting. My art tells me when it’s finished, therefore I have no deadlines. To me, art is about sincerity, not pretense. I try to put a piece of myself into everything I create.

I studied art formally at Penn Valley Community College and UMKC (Class of ’86). Whether you're here to explore or shop, I hope my work brings a bit of joy, curiosity, and connection to your day.
